Lasermap integrates the most efficient hardware and software systems available to produce accurate planimetric data that can meet the specifications of any GIS.
Planimetric data capture is accomplished by photogrammetric methods utilizing instruments that permit precise three-dimensional observation of newly acquired digital aerial images.
A custom data dictionary is created prior to the planimetric data capture operations. This is done in accordance with the feature types and specifications provided by the client.
During compilation, the Lasermap photogrammetrist will assign the appropriate feature code to the planimetric feature and will obtain parameters from the custom data dictionary. Planimetric compilation might include features such as edge of pavement, railroads, hydrography, building footprints, bridges, and airports, among others. LasermapUSA has the equipment and facilities to provide planimetric compilation in a cost effective and timely manner.
